1.      Definition

In the English definition, an analytical exposition is “a text that outlines the author's ideas about the phenomena around him. Is a piece of writing that shows the author's opinion about things they care about or are happening around them, for example events, objects, or places.

2 .      Purposes

Convince the reader that ideas are important things that need to be debated or discussed together.

3.      Text structure

The generic structure of analytical exposition usually has three components:

 (1) Thesis

 (2) Arguments

 (3) Reiteration or conclusion

4.      Expression

Elements of Language Analytical Exposition

a.       Written using the Simple Presents Tense, because the contents contain a general opinion and facts.

 

b.       Marked by the presence of thinking verbs, namely words that state or express the feelings/ideas of the author. Examples of the use of expressions such as, I believe, I think, and others.

 

c.        Using internal conjunctions or internal conjunctions to connect arguments. Internal conjunctions, e.g.
